Spirit of Numbers: Be Bliss ™ 2010 Forecast!! December 12, 2009

be_bliss

Outlook for 2010 by the Spirit of Numbers

Alright…who is ready for a new YEAR, a new VIBRATION, a new VISON??  Well, you are going to get it in 2010.    In case you missed it, 2009 was all about completion, cleansing, getting rid of what wasn’t working, what was holding us back, and what was not serving our soul.  It all had to go, so we didn’t take it in to the next 9 year cycle with us.   A time of cleaning house, big time.  So, know that while that still may be fininshing up for the first part of the year, or giving those a little extra time to move onward on their soul’s journey, we are headed into entirely new territory for the new year.

A 10 year is an ALL OR NOTHING year!  You are either in it, or…not.  Use this energy to really go forth with your plans.   While this powerful energy can really propel you into a new dimension, be aware that this all or nothing spirit can be a little draining without extra precautions, for the nervous system especially.  Be sure to not burn the candle at BOTH ends; one side is plenty.  10 represents the radiant body, so keep up with your personal practice to keep your radiance shining and brilliant.   10 is the archetype of the king/queen; draw from the strength of the noble, royalty within.  You may notice that ‘others’ (remember Yogi Bhajan’s sutra for the Aquarian Age:  REMEMBER THE OTHER PERSON IS YOU!  yeah, i catch myself with that one all the time!!)  can be prone to a ‘fighting mood’ or feeling entitled, with that regal backing of the 10.

The positive mind is going to have a big influence this year.  This entire year 2+0+1+0 = 3, and 3 is about seeing all of the creative possibilities in a situation.   So use that when things just aren’t working.  You will need to find another way.   Get creative and juicy this year and have some fun!  3 can be  very emotional number and with the combination of that 10, it can be a very intense combination.  A great way to deal with that is to keep the navel point strong.  HOW?  Sat Kriya will keep you steady, balanced, and unshakeable.   3-11 minutes a day will make a huge difference.  Try it for 40 days and let me know how it transforms your life.

Wishing you all the love, peace and prosperity for the new year!  Infinite blessings, Raji

(ALMOST!) Weekly from Be Bliss ™ November 11, 2009

be_blissSat Nam, Hello!  Well, today being 11/11 with a yearly influence of 11 (add the 2+0+0+9 =11)…holds some amped up vibrations to carry out your dreams, goals, and ideals.   Think of the number 11 with its two parallel lines; this can act as a doorway into your own expansion and higher conciousness.  Sounds all groovy, but what does this mean, really?  It means it is a powerful time to experience your true nature beyond the confines of what this reality places on you or on the limitations that you place on your self.  You have the power to realize and live the original self that you came here to be.  I will share with you a meditation that can offer such an experience.  As we move forward towards that planetary shift towards the Age of Aquarius, the shift of awareness will be less content with ‘knowing’ and more intent on ‘experience’.  May your lives be full with the exceptional, unique, excellent experience of your own beautiful soul.

Meditation to Relate to Your Own Essence (Praana, Praanee, Pranaayam)

This is to be practiced for 1 1/2 minutes only (don’t say you don’t have time to meditate!!!!!!)

Posture:  Easy pose, straight spine

Mudra:  Gyan mudra (thumb and index finger touching, other fingers are straight).  Bring the hands to cross in front of the heart center crossed at the wrists.

Breath/Mantra:  Inhale Deeply and Exhale.  With the breath held OUT, pump the navel and mentally chant

Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Har

Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Har

Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Haree, Har    (so total 24 pumps of the navel with the breath held out)

Repeat only 2 times for a total of 3.    Har means God and Haree is that creative manifestion of Har.

Practice this meditation to realize the infinite experience of your own soul rising!  Enjoy the extra juicy 11s today and may peace reign in your life!  May the Long Time Sun Shine Upon You, Infinite Blessings!!!! Raji

Sat Nam!  Today is “International Peace Prayer Day” and hopefully you all can set a few minutes aside to take a moment to send peace and healing to the WORLD, ALL THOSE LIVING UPON, and the EARTH herself.  What a difference a global effort can make.  One thing I truly love about Kundalini Yoga is that while I cannot change the entire planet’s conciousness, I sure can change my own.  And THAT is what leads to the ripple effect of widespread awareness.  To brighten your own radiance (and in turn…light up the world!)  try this easy meditation.

Meditation of the Week:  To Brighten Your Radiance

Posture:  Easy Pose

Mudra:  Hands in gyan mudra (forefinger and thumb touch) hands face forward, elbows into the ribs at side.

Breath:  Make an O shape with the mouth and breathe long and deep through the mouth.

Continue for 3-11 minutes.

The effects of this meditation are quite fabulous, move forward with your day and let your love light shine!  All love surround you, Raji

(Almost) Weekly from Be Bliss ™ September 2, 2009

be_blissSat Nam!  Hello all, thanks for tuning in to the Be Bliss Yoga blog.  The summer got away from me a bit and I couldn’t bring m yself inside to update with all of that sunshine!  Hope you were all d oing the same!  One of the great things for me about using the technology of Kundalini Yoga is the ease that it affords to connect to the infinite, to experience the oneness of the universe and the depth of the soul.  Sounds complicated and all new agey, but quite easy and straightforward with the roadmap the kriyas and meditations provide.    This week’s meditation is a great way to promote radiance and stretch yourself to infinity.  It is also a super meditation to improve sleep.

Meditation of the Week:  Shabd Kriya

Posture:  Easy pose, straight spine.

Mudra:  Hands in the lap with the right hand on top of the left, the thumbs touch

Breath and mantra:  With the eyes half open and focused at the tip of the nose, inhale in 4 equal parts, mentally chanting SA TA NA MA.  Hold the breath and repeat the mantra 4 times (16 counts).  Exhale in 2 equal parts mentally projecting WAHE GURU.   Continue for 15-62 minutes.

This is a great meditation to do at bedtime.  Enjoy a blissful night sleep and awake refreshed and renewed.  Peace to all, May the long time sun shine upon you, Raji

be_blissSat Nam, Hello!  This month is a great month to do some extra pranayam, or breathing techniques.   August is the 8th month of the year and when calculating a universal yearly cycle, this can put the 8th yogic body, the pranic body, into a challenging position where it would be beneficial to give it a little extra attention.  Pranayam is a simple, easy and effective way to adjust your energy level, mood, and elevate your spirits.  It is amazing what can be accomplished in very little time…there, time is no longer an excuse.  Also, breathing techniques are a great way to ‘meditate’ if you are unsure of exactly what to do in order to ‘meditate’.  It gives you a roadmap, and if you follow the simple directions, voila!  YOU ARE MEDITATING!! Keep Up!  Specifically, this meditation can give you enough energy to keep up with your life and take you out of stress mode.  It is possible!

Meditation of the Week:  8 Stroke Breath for Energy and Stress Release

Posture:  Comfortable meditative posture with the spine straigh, chin in, chest lifted.

Eye focus:  Eyes closed, focus at the 3rd eye (between the eyebrows)

Breath:  Inhale through the nose in 8 equal paarts.  Exhale through the nose in one deep powerful breath.

Continue for 11  minutes.  (may need to build up to that time)

To end:  Inhale deeply hold the breath for 5-10 seconds, exhale.   Again inhale, hold the breath for 15-20 seconds and roll the shoulders, exhale.  Inhale deeply, hold the breath and roll shoulders as fast as possible.  Exhale and relax.

Peace to all, love to all! Sat Nam, Raji

be_blissSat Nam!   Well, hopefully summer is finally here…we in New England are generally behind, but come on already!  I always associate summer with a time of relaxing and rejuvenating, aahh, long days at the beach, with a great book.  Here’s a great meditation to help you get in that mode.  It’s a great way to experience peace and joy and relieve stress and strain.  It also will help harmonize you with the earth’s magnetic field.   It is said that this meditation will make you 84 times stronger.

Meditation of the Week:  Harmonize with the Earth’s magnetic field to experience peace and joy

Posture:  Sit in Rock Pose on the heels

Eye Focus:  9/10 closed

Mudra:  Stretch the arms out straight and parallell with the palms down.

Breath:  Long and deep.

Continue for 3 minutes.

May this peace and connection with the Earth’s field help to fill you with joy and fulfillment as you continue on your path. May the Long Time Sun Shine Upon You, Raji

be_blissSat Nam, thanks for tuning in to see what you can do for your spirit this week.  One of the many things about Kundalini Yoga that helps me to ‘keep up’ is the variety.  Here’s a great way to totally switch up your meditation practice…take it outside…with a walk.   What a fun way to get out and enjoy the sunshine (or the summertime rain!), be active, increase your own vitality, and take a moment to connect to that divine energy within.  It’s easy and fun, share it with a friend!

Meditation of the Week:  Walking Meditation

Posture:  Walking

Mudra and Mantra:  Refer to ‘Kirtan Kriya’ a couple of posts ago if this doesn’t clearly explain it…there is a video on that post.

Whilst walking, Touch the thumb and index finger together as you chant SA  (infinity)

Touch the thumb and middle finger together as you chant TA (life)

Touch the thumb and ring finger together as you chant NA  (death)

Touch the thumb and pinkie together as you chant MA (birth)

This is the panj shabad, the five primal sounds.  This is the cycle of creation.

The effects of each mudra are:  1st finger- Gyan mudra is for knowledge

2nd finger- Shuni Mudra is for patience (hmm…interesting, yes?)

3rd finger- Surya Mudra is for vitality

4th finger-Buddhi Mudra is for the ability to communicate

With each repetition, the thumb, which represents the ego; seals the effect of the mudra.

Find a place to walk along with the mudra and mantra.  Perhaps you aren’t one to walk down your street chanting at the top of your lungs.  It should be audible at least to yourself.  Lots going on here, it’s not necessary to understand it all, try it for yourself and see what your own experience is.  Get out and get walking!  May the Long Time Sun Shine Upon You, Raji
