Kundalini Yoga works the entire glandular and nervous systems and prepares the mind for optimal clarity and functioning. Kundalini is the energy of consciousness and the awareness of the higher self. This energy allows us to experience our full human potential and radiance.
Kundalini Yoga uses kriyas (a specific sequence of postures/exercises to acheive a desired result), mudras (hand positions), mantras, and pranayam (breathing techniques). Anyone can do Kundalini Yoga.
Yogi Bhajan brought the pure lineage of Kundalini Yoga to the United States in 1969. This was the first time Kundalini Yoga was taught publicly, prior to this time it was kept secret, passed down from master to student. It is considered the “Yoga of Awareness” and Yogi Bhajan often spoke of it as the yoga of the householder…you only have minutes sometimes in the day, even in a few minutes a day, you can experience vitality, balance, and a sense of deeper peace and meaning in your life.
