Sat Nam!  Hello again, um, well you may have noticed but had a mix up with the video, I thought it loaded up pretty quick on You Tube.  Here’s the real deal!  Wow, things are moving…hello universal spring!  I get a little wild in the spring time with  the energy of all things growing.   (and all of that Sat Kriya last week!)  This week’s meditation is Sa-Ta-Na-Ma- the 2nd phase.   It is a meditation which balances all of the elements in the body: water, air, earth, fire and ether.  It also awakens the 3rd eye chakra, stimulating the pituitary gland and connecting you to your intuition.  Give it a try!

Meditation of the Week:  Sa-Ta-Na-Ma 2nd phase

Posture- Easy pose, straight spine

Mudra and mantra-Elbows are bent and at the side of the body.  Hands in front of the chest, hands face each other about 4 inches apart.  Eyes closed, focus at 3rd eye (between the brows).  Begin touching the thumbs and index fingers, mentally chant Saa, bring hands apart, then thumbs and middle fingers, mentally say Taa, bring hands apart, thumbs and ring fingers, mentally chant Naa, hands apart, thumbs and pinkies, mentally chant Maa, hands apart.  Keep repeating this cycle.  Sa Ta Na Ma refers to the cycle of  infinity, life, death, and birth.

Continue for 11 minutes.  (build slowly if you need to)

To end- Inhale, press all of the fingers together hold the breath.  Exhale.  Inhale again, this time press the thumb and index finger, the thumb and middle finger, each finger in turn while holding breath.  Then inhale, exhale and relax.

Until next time, May the long time sun shine upon you, Raji
